REVIEW FOR JAZZ NITE AT 10DS
10 Downing Street is presenting an evening of jazz this Friday, as part of the Barbara Jungfer & Holger Jetter Project. With Barbara Jungfer on the guitar, Holger Jetter on the violin, Keith Peters on the bass and Jeorag George on the drums, the quartet will perform original tunes and improvised pieces, which have been specially arranged for their India tour.
Holger & Barbara conceptualized their India tour in June 2008 in Munich, and invited 2 Indian jazz musicians - Kieth Peters and Jeoraj George - to exchange knowledge, and to explore the Indian jazz scene together. The band began their journey with a residency in Auroville. They then performed at 2 major jazz festivals in Bangalore and in Kolkata, before travelling to major cities in India with this jazz-rock program.
