The Lions' Club Millennium, one of the 79 Lions' Clubs in this district (324-C2), is having Jayprakash Narayan, the head of Lok Satta, speak on the occasion of the World Human Rights Day. The Lions' Club 324-C2 district convener, Rajagopal Reddy, and the head of this Club, Ravindra Rao, will also speak on this occasion. The Lions' Club International, headquarted in Oakbrook, Illinois, USA, has over 50,000 districts across the world, with 48 of them being in India, and 4 in Andhra Pradesh. Each district has around 70-80 clubs, and 2,000-3,000 members. The clubs are service organizations, and help the poor through eye camps, blood donation camps, diabetes camps and literacy awareness camps. The contributions come in through the members and through donations.
