Inter-College Softball Tournament: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR INTER-COLLEGE SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

You can call it Indian Baseball. Be there, to find out how it is played.

Osmania University is organising the Inter-College Softball Tournament for Men at their university campus from September 7th to September 8th.

Eleven college teams have confirmed their participation for this tournament, the colleges being S.P.College, Nruputunga College, Nizam College, Deccan Engg.College, Badruka Degree College, Bhavan's Sainikpuri, Pragati Mahavidyalaya, Anwar-Ul-uloom, A V College, Aurora Degree College, Viveka Vardhini Day College.

Softball is almost the same as baseball, where the pitcher bowls the ball to the hitter of the opposition team, who in turn hits the ball with all his might. The only difference is, after the ball is hit, the hitter need not run to the next base or vice versa, as in baseball. Lines are drawn on the playing pitch, which specify the number of runs and awarded accordingly.

Inter-College Tournament and Inter-University Tournament rules along with Softball Federation of India rules will be followed.
