Jaya paints the sky brown in an effort to heal the world!
The Chitramayee, State Gallery Of Fine Arts, is showcasing the work of a budding artist, Jaya Baheti. This is her first exhibition in Hyderabad. She has completed her education in fine arts from the Pune University, and is now settled in Hyderabad. She has already exhibited her work in many shows, and has participated in numerous workshops.
The theme for this collection is Heaven On Earth. This collection is an interesting canvas of reality and utopia. The work consists of mostly abstract and figurative features. The focus is strongly on the present and the continuity. She has made use of bold strokes of the brush in very vibrant hues.
Heaven On Earth will be inaugurated by the Minister for Tourism And Culture, Anjinaya Reddy. The paintings are also available for sale, and are priced between Rs. 4,000 and Rs. 25,000.
