Ailamma Art Gallery, Sundaraya Vignana Kendram, Baghlingampally, Hyderabad presents drawings and paintings by Pavan Kumar D in an exhibition titled 'Hands of Time' on Sunday June 7, 2015 at 6pm. It will be on till 21st June , 2015, Daily 12noon to 8pm.
Born in Gulbarga in Karnataka, in the year 1982. Pavan completed his post graduation from Sir J.J.School of Art, Mumbai in painting in the year 2006.
Pavan's recent work, traces the human interference in nature with symbolic depiction of a coexistence of natural form of plants and manmade things as part of urban surroundings of this time. Selected works from the series titled Self Portrait, created in black and white in the medium of oil painting are also showcased herein. A shift of interest from abstract expressionism to realism is observable in the current exhibition. Pavan speaks about his deep intetest in drawing and painting from his school days. He mentions "I use to spend more of my time in drawing class and my class room was surrounded with drawings, paints & art books. At the age of 16, I decided to Take up formal academic education in fine art." His practice of last ten years have fruitioned, with participation in many exhibitions. He enjoys being expressive through his installations.
