Tucked away remotely in a narrow lane in Goshamahal is the abode of Pt. Vitthal Rao, who's often termed the 'Jewel of Hyderabad' by scores of Urdu poets all over India. He's godfathered innumerable AIR artistes, bhajan and ghazal singers around the globe, and other musicians including Harmonium and Tabla artistes.
The ghazals he sings are all his own compositions that are raag-based, and are simply soul-stirring to say the least. Pt. Rao is a maestro of Hindustani gayaki, and the guru of ghazals, literally!
This time he graces us lesser mortals at Ravindra Bharati. So rest assured you are in for a musical feast you'll cherish forever.
