From bling-bling to small and chic, the glossies have new counsel for you everyday. Stay ahead of the pack by embracing handicrafts that are truly and literally far-out. Coming from Tripura, the Indian far-east, this exhibition at Lepakshi is organised by the Tripura Handicraft Development Corporation.
It has cane chairs, sofa-sets, dining tables, lampshades, purses, fans, wall-decorations, partitions, textiles, shawls and bags. You will mostly find cane, bamboo and wool work here. You can expect handbags in earth colors with cane handles, or woven table mats, stoles and scarves, and a lot more. Prices range from Rs. 10 for a small diddy, to Rs. 3500 for a sofa set. There are decorative pieces made of carved wood too.
This exhibition will go on till the 19th of February, and is open from 1000 to 2000 hrs everyday.
