The Environmentalist Foundation of India (EFI) is a wildlife conservation and habitat restoration group working out of Chennai, Hyderabad and Coimbatore. EFI focusses on real time, result-oriented environment conservation work.
Part of their conservation efforts in Hyderabad: They have taken up six lakes for restoration and bio-diversification - they are intending to make this a people's movement and get as many people inspired towards conservation efforts in the city as they can.
"E.100" - Environment in 100 minutes" is an entertaining format including Environmental Quizzes, debating Environmental Policies (Law-Framework etc.) and a discussion forum called "My Environment - My Pride".
The focus behind E.100 is to get people informed on Environmental issues and also encourage them to participate in real time conservation efforts. The forum will see people of all ages and sections participate in the activity, thereby triggering a citizen forum necessary for such programs.
