You will not realize, even after 10 minutes into this exhibition, that it's a dud show - because it's not!

Department 0f Culture, Government Of Andhra Pradesh, in collaboration with INTACH, is presenting an exhibition of digital documentation of images by V Kalikavataram. Kalikavataram is an ex-General Manager of Indian Railways.

These images showcase the historical evolution of modern paintings in Andhra Pradesh. The documentations have been collected from various authentic sources, including art galleries, private collections, and from periodicals like Bharati and Shilpi.

About 150 pictorial representations of works of 30 artists, done between 1910 and 1950, wil be on display. These include works of Damerla Rama Rao, Damerla Satyavani, Adivi Bapiraju, Buchi Krishnamma, Varada Venkataratnam, Talisetti Rama Rao and N Kumarswamy.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Shravan Kumar, convenor, INTACH, Hyderabad, and will contain a considerable amount of information on historical art, for both students and scholars.
