Deep Mela

What do you call a Deep Mela that stocks most anything you can think of? A mela! Seriously, we checked!

At Imperial gardens, is on, one such Deep Mela. But, we think, it gets its name from the organising body, Deepshikha Mahila Club. That takes a little element of mystery away, but then, we are merely speculating.

This event houses Chinese linen, handcrafted silver, gold and diamond jewelry, saris from Kolkatta, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Jaipur, arts and crafts from Rajasthan and Kashmir, gift and household items, among a host of other things.

The mahila club proactively champions the cause of female literacy, and runs schools and vocational training centres for women as well. This event is being organised to raise funds for their various activities, therefore when you patronise this fest, you will be supporting a noble cause.
