Competitions In Kuchipudi Dance For Sub-Juniors

Kuchipudi beginners lock horns, and in the process you can hope to see flashes of a Shobha Naidu or a Vempatti Chinna Satyam. Hopeful?

Andhra Balananda Sangham is organising a Kuchipudi dance competition on the 22nd for school-children of all ages. They will be held between 1000 hrs and 1700 hrs  and children can enroll by paying a fee of Rs. 100. The two categories are sub-juniors (1-5 classes) and juniros (6-9 classes). Sub-juniors are expected to prepare a 5 minute piece, while juniors have to prepare an 8 minute piece. Gold, silver, bronze and consolation prizes will be given away.
