Chillara Kottu Chittamma is a classical satire on contemporary society. Written by D Gopalakrishna 30 years back, Chillara Kottu Chittamma has been made into a film with Jayachitra and Muralimohan as actors.
The story is of Chittamma, who is the owner of a chillarakottu (a small convenience store) in the village. Being a single woman, Chittamma faced many hardships at the hands of the village men. Finally she decides to revolt, and manages to get even with her enemies.
This drama is being played for the first time ever, and 4 troupes, one each from Pallakollu, Kakinada, Ongole and Pithapuramm, are participating.
