Carnatic Vocal Recital By B Naga Malleswara Rao: Events in Hyderabad

Shilparamam is presenting a Carnatic vocal recital by B Naga Malleswara Rao on 17th October.

Naga Malleswara Rao will be accompanied by his father and guru, Bhaktula Bala Koteswara Rao, on the violin, M V Subramanya Prasad on the mridangam, and Susarla Sarma on the morsing.

Bhaktula Naga Malleswara Rao was initially a disciple of violinist Annavarapu Rama Swamy, and thereafter learnt under G V Rama Kumari, his father Bhaktula Bala Koteswara Rao, and Modumudi Sudhakar. After completing his diploma in vocal music and the violin, Malleshwara Rao also went on to complete his MA in music from the Telugu University.

In addition to participating in various programs on television and on the AIR, he has also been part of concerts at many sabhas in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Chennai, Kadapa and Adilabad. He is also a regular violin accompanist, and has accompanied many vocalists and dancers including Dr. Alekhya Punjla, Dr. Sobha Naidu, Dr. Ananda Shankar Jayant and Rajeshwari Sainath. Currently, he works as a music teacher at the Government High School, Raj Bhavan Road.
