Sri Rama Gana Sabha is organising the 42nd Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana Music Festival from 20th to 31st January at New Nallakunta Ramalayam.
N Subbalakshmi will be presenting a Carnatic vocal recital on 27th January, and he will be accompanied by O Rajashekar on the violin, and Kapa Srinivasa Rao on the mridangam.
Nammuluri Subbalakshmi has been a disciple of D Seshachary, one of the famed Hyderabad Brothers, for the last 18 years. She had her early music lessons from Tampella Suryanarayana. She is a recipient of the CCERT Scholarship, and has performed at various concerts in almost every town in Andhra Pradesh, and also in Calicut, Chennai, Bhubaneshwar, Nagpur and the USA. She won the 1st prize at the National Music Festival at Nagpur, the Bala Ratna Award, the Ugadi Puraskarams and the Best Performer Prize at the Spirit Of Unity concert.
Sri Rama Gana Sabha is one of the oldest cultural associations in the twin cities. It was established in 1949 by Carnatic singer Koniki Satyanarayana Rao. The association organises Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana Music Festival every year.
