The cops never really have a day off. But tonite, they get their due of a night out, what with the release of the book Police File 1842, and a cultural program.
The book, authored by Lanka Venkata Ramana, is based on a riveting research on the Police administration in the Krishna - Guntur districts in the pre-independence era. He's being felicitated tonight as the 'Investigation Journalist'.
The cultural program that follows has been wittily named FIR - Fully Interesting Recreation. Performances by mimicry artistes and magicians from the Police fraternity are sure to keep the cops cracked-up throughout the evening.
The chief guest for the evening will be Justice Ramineni Ramanujam, and K Prabhakar Reddy, Addl. Secretary to the CM, will be presiding over the event.
