Asmita Marwah
Asmita hails from Hyderabad, and her designs fuse the traditional with an eclectic and global sensibility. Her Kalamkaris are talked about as much in the streets of Paris and LA, as they are in the gullies of Coimbatore. She was a judge at the Femina/Pantaloons Miss India South Pageant, 2009 where she was chosen to design the Final Evening Wear Round.
Following her showing for Cotton Council International, she was selected to judge the Let's Design reality show. In 2008, from a pool of national as well as international designers, Vogue chose Asmita as a "Promising Talent To Watch Out For".
Gavin Miguel
Gavin Miguel started his fashion company 10 years ago. His styling company "7 Chakras" started a few years ago, and he branched out with a skilled team to make styling part of his work.
He has dressed the likes of Aishwarya Rai Bacchan, Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Rahul Khanna. Projects like L'Oreal, Nokia, Sunsilk, Lux, and films like Fashion, Drona and Dhoom are a few glimpses of his work.
Mandira Wirk
Mandira Wirk, a designer label that has evolved over the past 10 years as a brand, has been groomed with a sense of luxury and modernism, symbolic of subtlety, feminity and romanticism. The brand has footprints in Munich, San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai, among other cities.
Ashish N Soni
Ashish N Soni is known for serious garments and an approach to fashion that's free of hype and hoopla and a focus on drawing the right line instead of lots of lines. The 3 key elements on which his collection for FW10 is built, are the designer's played down aesthetic, tailoring poweress and keen fashion instincts.
Shantanu & Nikhil
Shantanu & Nikhil have celebrities ranging from leading sports personalities of the world (including Serena Williams, Sania Mirza, Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan, Glen McGrath and Stephen Fleming), to Bollywood stars (including Hrithik Roshan, Shahrukh Khan, Dia Mirza, A R Rehman, Kunal Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Kareena Kapoor, Sameera Reddy, Sonam Kapoor Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Shilpa Shetty & Deepika Padukone). Their sophisticated design aesthetic goes beyond the ramp to the field of cricket, where they have recently designed the highly-popular Mumbai Indians Jersey for the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Raghavendra Rathore
A lifestyle designer who values the heritage of the bygone era while aiming to induce a fresh modern approach to design, Raghavendra Rathore learnt design at the Parsons School Of Design in New York. The portfolio of the designer's product range spans home products, interior & furnishing design, outdoor iron & wood furniture design, jewellery design, and high-end fashion design.
His contribution in making the Jodhpuri Jacket (Nehru Jacket) and the Jodhpur Pant fashionable is well-documented.
Vikram Phadnis
Vikram Phadnis started his career as a choreographer, before rising to fame as a fashion designer. Retailing from his store in Mumbai, the label stocks high-end Indian and western wear for both men and women.
