India's premiere comedy-rock band Alien Chutney, with lead singer Vir Das, will sing their witty and edgy comic-songs, read "Weirdass Comedy", at Ballantine's Out Of Office in the Kondapur Heart Cup Coffee on November 25.
Alien Chutney comprises of Vir Das, Sidd Coutto, Johan Pais and Kaizad Gherda. Brainchild of comedian Vir Das, Alien Chutney is a mix of sophisticated original music with insane and oft weird lyrics, which are completely arbitrary yet entirely relatable.
The band's original compositions are a range of subjects where punch lines meet catchy riffs. Topics such as the differences between the women of Delhi and Mumbai, a blues song about village men, a punk song about "funkalicious" pakodas, parsi love songs, tributes to singer Himesh, death metal songs, pop songs and fusion jazz tracks.
