This kids' workshop has science and story-telling bundled into one - get set for an end product that could lie between a Newton and a Sidney Sheldon, or that could even be both.
Treasure House is conducting a workshop on the 'Art And Science Of Stories', for children in the age group of 6-12 years, from 17th 28th May, at its campus on Road No. 63, Jubilee Hills. The workshop will be mentored by Meetu Chawla, and is on from 9am to 10:30am, Monday to Friday.
The program integrates science with art and craft, through stories. The program is set to help children develop early science skills, an enthusiasm for learning, an ability to interpret and communicate ideas, and a love of books, through interactive activities and crafts.
The workshop is designed to provide interactive learning, activities and fun, built around a story-telling session. This format also develops their lateral thinking skills. Kids get to learn a concept after every story, reinforcing the knowledge about that topic learnt in school.
Meetu Chawla has worked on programs to make learning a fun experience for children, and not just a boring chore. She designs programs to capture the attention of the child through play while challenging their little minds. She has been conducting workshops for children between the ages 3 and 13. Some of the activities in her workshops are conceptual storytelling, creative writing, phonics and parent-child workshops.
Registration charges are Rs. 1,700 for members and Rs. 2,000 for non-members. Please contact Treasure House at 2355-0118 for further details.
