Brilliant Trophy All India FIDE Rated Open Chess Tournament

Hovering over the black and white checkered boards is a ton of grey matter, at this chess tourney.



The Andhra Pradesh Chess Association, in association with the All-India Chess Federation, is organising the Brilliant Trophy All-India FIDE-rating chess tournament (below Elo 2,200) from 26th to 29th May, at Brilliant Grammar School, Moosarambagh.



The event carries a cash prize of Rs. 57,000. About 150 FIDE-rated players, including several national and international medallists, are expected to take part. The tournament will be conducted in the Sicilian format, on a league basis. Every player has to play all the other players in his category, and on the basis of these performances, winners will be announced as per the final points scored.
