Arigo is the name of a migratory bird. It is also the name given to the workers who came to the city of Volta Redonda during the 1940s to construct the National Steelworks Company, Brazil's first large steel industry. The film is a tribute to these workers and to all the migrants, men and women, who tried to forge a new identity in this place.
