Sri Rama Navami Cultural Festival Committee is presenting a Tamil drama "Ardhanari" by Dummies Drama from Chennai on 23rd January at the Keyes Girls High School, Secunderabad. It has been written and directed by V Sreevathson, and the cast includes Krishna, Nithya, Sridhar, Sreevathson, Prema and Sadasivam.
Ardhanari is a woman-oriented play depicting the plight of women, who have to take care of household chores on one side, and have to make sure that the family members are happy on the other. They have to maintain a balance between their household work and taking care of in-laws, husband and kids.
Dummies Drama, established in 1998 by V sreevathson, comprises of an 18-member team of amateurs. In the past 13 years, it has performed 14 plays and 200 shows, and won close to 40 awards. Their vision is to revive the art of theatre, and bring it back to its golden period.
