Abhinandana Cultural Association is celebrating its 23rd anniversary at Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha, this Wednesday. On this occasion, several cultural programs are being held, besides an awards function. Abhinandana is giving away the Visishtha Mahila Puraskarams to various ladies who are highly regarded in their fields of service. These are the recipients of this award:

The chief guest for the function is K Suresh Reddy, Speaker of Legislative Assembly, and the evening will be presided over by Raghupati Venkaiah awardee and Kalaprapoorna T L Kanta Rao. D Virinchi, AGM of SBH, and N Chandrasekhar, Chairman of Tirumala Bank, will light the lamps (Jyoti Prajwalana), and the inaugural address will be by Lion Dr Y Kiran, Managing Director of Suchir India Real Estates.
The cultural programs start with a recital of Ugadi songs by Lalitha Rao, Vasundhara Devi and Nirmala Rao, followed by a one-act play by Shoba Perindevi, parody songs by Leela Prakash, a dance recital on old film songs by students of Abhinandana, and finally a grand dance ballet Ashtalakshmi Vaibhavam by Rajeshwari, Visalakshi, Bhavani, Lakshmi Prakash, Nirmala, Veena, Vardhini and Aruna Rao.
