If there were ever any proof needed that God invented the human body to provide livelihood to several artisans, there's plenty of it in town. Here's the latest attempt at making money from beautifying the flesh.
An exhibition-cum-sale of jewelry, saris and salwar suits designed by Lateef Ahmed Siddiqui (great grandson of Nawab Masib Jung) from Chicago will be on display for 4 days. The jewelry, in real diamonds, rubies, sapphires and other stones, and in ethnic and modern designs, ranges in price from Rs. 5,000 and above. Matching jewelry for an exclusive collection of saris and salwar kurtas in crepes, chiffons, georgettes, silk embroidered with zardozi, salma gota, karchob and kamdani work will also be available during the exhibition.
