Tishani Doshi will present a talk, "An accidental dancer - my years with Chandra" which will focus on Chandralekha's enduring question, "Where does the body begin, and end?". The event is a part of the extravagant Hyderabad Literature Festival and will be held on January 29, at Hyderabad Public School.
Tishani is an award-winning poet, novelist, and dancer. In 2001, at the age of 26, she joined the legendary dancer Chandralekha's dance troupe.
Chandralekha Prabhudas Patel, commonly known as just Chandralekha, was a dancer and choreographer. She was an exponent of performances fusing Bharatanatyam with martial arts including Kalarippayattu.
