Daira Centre for Arts and Culture organizing an Art Jamboree this year as well. After a launch last year with 50 artists, this year, the scope of the event has expanded to 80 artists, not just from Hyderabad but also from across the country.
Laxma Goud, Thota Vaikuntam, Kavita Desuskar, Akhilesh, D L N Reddy, Rajeshwara Rao, Fawad Tamkanat, Jaya Baheti, Laxman Aelay, Chippa Sudhakar and Sajid Bin Amar are among the artists who have created utility art in a spirit to make art accessible to a larger spectrum of people.
The Jamboree is also aimed at stirring Hyderabad's "still life" and stimulate involvement not just of the participants but also of art patrons and art-lovers.
Artists will exhibit stationery, transfers on textiles, table mats, coasters, scarves, decorative art works, garden sculpture, jewelry, tapestries, toys, masks, lamps, indoor planters and many other such objects.
Besides the above display, the Jamboree is also initiating an exclusive display of Absolut Installation bottles by 35 artists on the lines of Absolute Subodh and Absolut Kher (this was so far done by only two Indian artists). The Absolut display will be installed by artist Masuram Ravikanth.
