Set aside the Sreerams and Karunyas of the world for a moment and take a look at what else Hyderabad's brimming cup of talent has in store.

Hyderabad-based VeHaan will be singing songs from his recently released album "Aaj Kal", on 12th November, at the Lamakaan. Aaj Kal is a collection of songs drawn from experiences and moments of life.

VeHaan, a contemporary instrumental / R&B / pop artiste, was born in Dhanbad, and spent most of his childhood years in the tribal areas of Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa. He went on to study Indian classical music at the Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, and also took guitar lessons.

He continued his quest for expanding his musical horizons, studied various music forms and listened to artists from around the world. His songs talk about the basics of life and how we try to deal with them.

VeHaan sings mostly in Hindi. His music studio, Studio Saat, is based in Hyderabad. In 2010, VeHaan also started Drumberries, which organizes interactive rhythm workshops and drum circles.
