The Kalakriti Art Gallery, Moving Images, Goethe Zentrum and Alliance Francaise are presenting their 8th annual "Krishnakriti Annual Festival Of Art & Culture", in memory of Krishnachandra B Lahoti on 7-11 January. The events of the festival will take place at multiple venues.
The event line-up is as follows:
7 Jan
Inauguration, starts at 7pm, at the Kalakriti Art Gallery
The Annual Krishnakriti Art Camp will begin with the symbolic signing of a canvas by all participating artists. The invited artists are fellows of the Krishnakriti Scholarship:

-Talk by Prabhakar Kolte, starts at 3pm, at the Kalakriti Art Gallery
Kolte's is a Mumbai-based artist. His artistic style involves abstract layering, and the signs and textures in his art reveal his modernist consciousness. He also uses bands of color juxtaposed against each other.
-Interpreting Tagore by Astad Deboo Dance Company, starts at 7pm at the Taramati Baradari
Astad Deboo is an Indian contemporary dancer and choregrapher. This dance has been created in commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of poet and Nobel Prize winner Rabindranath Tagore, titled 'Interpreting Tagore'.
The dance uses world music, movement and alternative theatre forms, including puppets, masks, and poetry recitation.
9 Jan: Workshop by Astad Deboo Dance Company, at the Vidyaranya High School in Hyderabad
This is a dance and workshop interpreting Tagore's works. There are 2 sessions - the morning session and the evening session. The morning session, for children, is from 10:30am to 12pm; and the evening session, for adults, is from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.

10 Jan: Talk by Tallur L N
Tallur L N is a sculptor whose works are riddled with the agony of laboured situations. He is the recipient of several prestigious honours, including the Inlaks Fine Art Award, and the Bose Pacia Prize for Modern Art. The artist shares his time in both India and Korea.
11 Jan: Talk by Hema Upadhyay
Hema Upadhya is a Mumbai-based artist. She has been a part of several national and international exhibitions, workshops and residencies.
Some of her prominent exhibitions have been held in France, Singapore, USA, Karachi and Sydney. She was awarded the Tenth Indian Triennial National Scholarship and the Gujrat State award.
She uses photography and sculptural installations to explore notions of personal identity, dislocation, nostalgia and gender.
The events are free of cost, but tickets must be booked in advance at the Kalakriti Art Gallery, Moving Images, Goethe Zentrum, or Alliance Francaise for pick up.
