The Andhra Pradesh Chess Association is organising the 49th Brilliant Trophy A P State Open Prize Money Chess Tournament, on the 12th and 13th of June. The venue is Brilliant Grammar High School at Dilsukhnagar.
The matches will be held in the Under-6, Under-8, Under-10, Under-12, Under-14 and Open Age categories, in both the boys' and the girls' sections. The registration fee is Rs. 150, and spot entries will also be accepted.
The tournament will be conducted in the Sicilian format, on a league basis. Every player has to play all the other players in his category, and on the basis of these performances, the winners will be announced using the final points scored.
Prizes worth Rs. 10,000 will be given away to 20 players. 5 prizes will be given to the top 5 players in the open category, and prizes will be given to the top two performers in the Under-6, Under-8, Under-10, Under-12, Under-14 and Veterans categories. Participation certificates will be given to all children taking part.
