Life's a stage and we are mere performers, struggling to grab some jackpot or the other. Of course, this evening, there are no amateurs and the stage is authentic, unlike surreal life. The Parachuri Raghubabu Memorial Trust has, yet again, organized an All India Drama Competition in the city.
The following plays will be staged, in succession, today evening:
Naravatharam directed by Rajkumar.
Veta directed by B M Reddy.
Aalochinchandi directed by Karnam Suresh.
In all, there are eighteen plays that will be presented in the competition. Each drama group will receive a cash memento of Rs.6000. On the concluding day, the most deserving team will be honoured with Best Production Award, a cash reward of Rs. 15,000. Also, silver plates will be awarded to the best actor and actress.
The chief guests for the opening day were Dr. C Narayana Reddy, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam (Chairman Andhra Pradesh Cultural Council) and film director M S Raju. Telugu film actress Charmie had lit the lamp.
