Torque, the newly renovated pub of Hotel Green Park, is presenting a live evening of trance & electronic sounds by Tatva Kundalini and One Tribe, on the 6th of February.
Tatva Kundalini is renowned for playing a fusion of Indian classical music and Western hits, with a dash of folk. A 3-man troupe, it features Eashan Ali Khan on the sitar, Aditya on the guitar and Ankur on the drums. The music is played from laptops with live bass guitars, analog keyboards, and Indian folk classical instruments like the Rajasthani Morchang Gopichand.
Tatva Kundalini is an association of multi-instrumentalist musicians and established sound engineers who started their careers as global musicians and traversed into electronic music. Their last studio release, Raaga Lounge - The Rebirth, was a collection of Indian classical raagas fused with new age ambient drum 'n' bass ethno-electro experimental elements. Their first and second music videos, Apne Piya Ke and Agan Aao Balma respectively, for the same record were on air on all of the major television channels.
One Tribe, aka Prateek Pandey, is the youngest Chill Om Records artiste and is not only a DJ under the label but also the Chill Om Records artist manager. His activities include conceptualizing events, managing tour dates & bookings of artists such as DJ Cheb I Sabbah (USA, Six Degrees) & Tatva Kundalini, and recently producing his own signature tech / prog tunes. One Tribe's sets range from minimal/tech to techno, from uplifting & melodic trance to tech trance & bass-laden progressive trance.
