DJ Nasha & Nucleya will be spinning Asian & Bollywood remixes on the third day of B&C's 7th Anniversary celebrations, on 6th February. Both Nucleya and DJ Nasha are part of a band called "Order Of The Essence" through which they perform and promote Asian dubstep music.
Nucleya is founded by Udyan Sagar, who was one half of Bandish Projekt, and has 4 international releases to his credit. There are 4 more international releases lined up for release during this year. Nucleya has been a regular on BBC Radio 1 - UK and many others all around the world, and has performed at several festivals and events as well, including at Glastonbury - UK, Edinburgh Fringe Festival - UK, and Lille 3000 France.
Nasha is quite popular in the Middle-East, apart from in the sub-continent. His first single - Nasha 'Flute Fantasy' - was a huge seller in India as well as internationally. The track features maestro Ronu Mazumder live on the flute. It is a progressive house track with Asian influences and chants. The track has made its rounds into many international DJ sets, and is also heard on DJ Ravin's sets at the Buddha Bar Lounge in Paris.
Nasha has worked on collaborations with top Indian music maestros, some of whom are Ranjit Barot, Pandit Dinesh, Sivamani, Taufique Qureshi, Niladri Kumar and Ronu Mazumder. Besides producing music, Nasha is a part of a funky, experimental fusion-oriented band 'Namah', which boasts of artists Ranjit Barot, Pandit Dinesh and Niladri Kumar. He is the only DJ to have won the World DMC Championships (India) twice in 1999 & 2000, and has also represented India in NY & London for the World Championsips.
