Alliance Francaise, together with the Hyderabad Film Club and with support from the Culture France and the French Embassy, is organising a French film festival to mark 50 years of new wave cinema, and as part of Bonjour India - A Festival Of France
, from 14th to 17th January, at Prasads IMAX. A total of 8 films will be screened at the festival.
Jules And Jim is the 2nd film that will be screened on the 3rd day of the festival. Hailed as one of the finest films ever made, director Francois Truffaut’s masterpiece Jules & Jim charts the relationship between two friends and the object of their mutual obsession over the course of 25 years.
Jeanne Moreau stars as Catherine, the alluring and willful young woman whose enigmatic smile and passionate nature lure Jules (Oskar Werner) and Jim (Henri Serre) into a romantic triangle. Jules and Jim was a worldwide smash upon its release in 1962.
