REVIEW FOR CONSTANTLY TALKING - A FRENCH FILM BY JEANNE LABRUNE
The Alliance Francaise of Hyderabad, in association with the Hyderabad Film Club and the French Embassy in India, is screening a French film, Constantly Talking (Cause Toujours), at the Sarathi Studios in Ameerpet, on 27th November. The film is directed by Jeanne Labrune, and has Victoria Abril, Jean-Pierre Darroussin, Sylvie Testud, Didier Bezace, Claude Perron, Richard Debuisne and Dominique Besnehard playing the lead characters.
Whilst Jacinthe becomes obsessed with the insects which seem to be taking over her apartment, her best friend Léa takes an interest in an apparently dumb middle-aged man who works in a supermarket. One day, while en route to a stay in the countryside, Léa sees the man on a train and follows him to his home. And when she does not see Léa for several days, Jacinthe becomes concerned for her safety.
Cause Toujours is a closing instalment in a trilogy of films (the first two being Caira Mieux Demain (2000) and C'est Le Bouquet! (2002)) written and directed by Jeanne Labrune.
