Carnatic Vocal By Dr. V Balasubrahmanyam

On the occasion of the Devi Navaratris, Sri Sringeri Shankar Math at Motinagar is organising a Carnatic vocal recital by Dr. Vyzarsu Balasubrahmanyam, on 15th October. Providing music support for the recital are Rajashekar on the violin and Kapa Srinivas on the mridangam.

Dr. Vyzarsu Balasubrahmanyam has done his M A in music from Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University and holds a double Ph D from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Miraj, and from the University of Delhi. He is one of the topmost sangeet vidhwan of the city and teaches several students at his institute Bhairavi Sangeet Academy which he had established more than 7 years ago.

Dr. Balasubrahmanyam has performed in many venues across the state and the country. He has also been on concert tours to Australia and Singapore too. He has composed a number of Varnams, Krithis, Javalis and Tillanas, besides music for Annamayya keertanas. Many of his students have won many prizes at national level music competitions.
