The Department of Culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh, in association with the South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur, is organising Yuva Shastriya Nrityotsav, a youth festival of Indian classical dances, on 18th, 19th & 20th March, at the Ravindra Bharathi auditorium. The 3-day festival will have 4 performances every day from different parts of the country, starting 6:30pm, as below:

20th March

The South Zone Cultural Centre (SZCC) is one of the 7 cultural centers in the country, and was established in 1986 at Tiruvaiyaru in Thanjavur district. The center was later shifted to Thanjavur town. Its main operation areas include the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, and the union territories of Pondicherry, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
The center is dedicated to the promotion of fine arts, dance, drama, music, theater and crafts. It also promotes and preserves the art forms by improving opportunities for artists, documenting dying art forms, and ensuring the participation of the youth in cultural activities.
