Vani Ramamurthi, a Carnatic Vocalist, is a disciple of Ranjani-Gayatri. Born and brought up in the US, she started her initial vocal training at the age of five under the guidance of Smt. Padma Kutty, based in Irvine, California. Vani made annual trips to Chennai throughout her childhood for advanced training with her gurus Smt. Ranjani and Smt. Gayatri. She also receives guidance from Sri Delhi P. Sunder Rajan. Vani had the opportunity to learn a number of rare compositions from Late Sri. Vairamangalam Lakshminarayanan. She shifted from the US to Chennai in 2011 to continue pursuing music and since then has performed at numerous venues throughout India. Vani is an 'A' grade artist of All India Radio, Chennai.
