Vivekananda liked to tell you to discover your true self. Shekhar Sen did exactly that, and look what he has today - 1,000 shows to his credit, just for starters!
Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Hyderabad, is organizing a play called Vivekananda, by Shekhar Sen, on 27th October, at Ravindra Bharathi. The play is being organized in order to raise funds for the Sadhu Vaswani School, for under-privileged girls.
Shekhar Sen is a talented singer, music composer, lyricist and actor. He learnt music from his parents Dr. Arun Kumar Sen and Dr. Aneeta Sen, renowned classical singers of the Gwalior Gharana, and musicologists. To his credit, he has more than 1,000 shows all over the world, and over 165 cassettes & CDs as singer, composer and lyricist. He has composed music for many TV serials like Shiv Mahapuran, Geeta Rahasya, Parivaar and Dhadkan, and has given playback in the famous serial Ramayan. His monoact musical plays Goswami Tulsidas and Kabeer created history, and now it's Vivekananda's turn to be immortalized by him.
