REVIEW FOR VIRTUOUS 2KX - TECHNICAL...

The CSE Department of R R S College of Engineering and Technology is organising its annual technical festival Virtuous 2kx, on 6th & 7th of October, at the college campus in Mutangi, Patancheru. Virtuous 2KX aims at extracting the hidden talents of professional students in curricular and extra-curricular activities, providing a platform for technical students to exhibit innovative thoughts and bring out their potential. There are various technical and non-technical events and competitions as part of the festival, as below:

Technical Events

Paper Presentations - Papers reflecting original research or novel designs/applications will be presented, on the following topics:

Data Mining

Artificial Intelligence And Pattern Recognition

Cloud Computing

Web Mining

Design Patterns

Network Security

Multimedia Applications

Soft Computing

Ethical Hacking

4G Communication

Poster Presentation - A poster which should guide each viewer through the basics of the study, freeing the presenter to focus on discussion of essential elements of the work.

C-Coding - It is another name given for Debugging, a methodical process for finding and reducing the number of bugs in a given computer program.

Web Designing - A design task will be provided on the spot, based on HTML, JAVA SCRIPT and CSS.

PC Geeks - A competition based on computer task handling. This event has 4 levels: a written test, a task to accomplish on the computer, HDD, and a spot task.

Brain Wave - A quizzing event which comprises of 4 rounds, with questions on technical and non-technical topics, verbal and analytical skills, and GK questions.

Non-Technical Events

Crazy Ads - An innovative ad has to be designed by the participant, and topics can be anything from electronic gadgets, cosmetics, beverages to apparel.

Short Film - This event is a good platform for those who are creative at film making. Participants can create their own film based on their ideas. The duration of the film should be less than 10 minutes. The film's concept may be technical or non-technical.

Treasure Hunt - A treasure is hidden at a secret spot, and the participants must trace it. They will be given clues to find out the location of the treasure. The one who finds the treasure first, will be given a prize, and the treasure as well.

LAN Gaming - This event consists of games like Unreal Tournament 2004, Counter Strike, NFS Most Wanted, FIFA 2007, Cricket 2007 and Virtua Tennis.

JAM - A topic will be announce 15 minutes before the event, and participants must speak on the topic for one minute.

Tech Scribbling - Participants must write about the given topic within 20 minutes in the answer sheet provided (the answer may or may not be related to the given topic).

RAM - Short for Read And Memorize, this is a memory game involving 50 items which may be parts of a system, posters and things used in daily life. Participants will have to go through them all, memorize their numbers, and later, answer some questions.

Snap Shot - A photographic event where every participant is provided with an objective.

Collage Art - Participants will be provided with a bunch of wallpapers and related stuff (Photoshop CS3 software). They will have to make use of all this and design an attractive poster showcasing the concept "Go Green".

Bridge It - Construct different types of bridges using the materials provided (sticks, glue, thread, scissors).
