Junior Science Club (JSC) is a group formed in August 2007 by Integrated M.Sc students of Center for Integrated Studies, University of Hyderabad, under the guidance of Prof. K.P.N. Murthy, School of Physics, University of Hyderabad. By continuously improving its activities, it had come to be recognized at university level as a Science Club entirely run by the students. It is also affiliated to Indian Physics Association, Hyderabad Chapter.
The JSC aims at promoting and developing scientific temper among the students of the university community by organizing various activities related to science.
It regularly hosts a hive of activities like Brain Teasers, Science Quizzes, Documentary Screenings, Field trips and Talks by Eminent Scientists and Professors, and also sometimes by students of different streams of science. It is a platform for students to learn, grow and share their ideas with others. Besides these, the JSC also organises two events every academic year: The "Researching-Science"-Symposium, in the Monsoon Semester, and the "Vigyanotsav" - Science fest, in the Summer Semester.
