Alankritha Art Gallery is exhibiting a collection of paintings by Subrata Das, from 13th to 27th November, at the gallery premises in Kavuri Hills, Madhapur.
Titled 'Tune Of Love', these paintings depict Indian mythology and human relationships, and the works are of acrylic on canvas and mixed media.
Born in Kolkata, Subrata studied foundation course from College of Visual Arts, under eminent artist Suvaprasanna. He has held over 10 solo shows in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Pune and Kolkata and several prestigious group shows in India and abroad. He has participated in the annual shows of Birla Academy, Academy of Fine Arts, National Exhibition, and Avantika Art Exhibition.
Subrata has received gold and silver awards from the Avantika International Art Exhibition, and a certificate of merit from the All India Youth Art Exhibition. His paintings are in collections of the UNESCO, the ITC Group, Raj Bhavan (Kolkata), the Bangladesh High Commission, RPG Enterprises, the Taj Group of hotels, and also in various corporate houses and private collections in India and abroad.
