Join us at Lamakaan for a Tribute to Ustad Mir Qutub Baksh, also known as Miyan Tanras Khan Saheb, featuring a qawwali performance and an insightful talk on the art of qawwali. A renowned figure in Hindustani Classical music, Tanras Khan was a master of the Delhi Gharana and served as the court musician to the last Mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar II. Known for his compositions of Khayals and Taranas, he occasionally performed qawwalis. After 1857, he moved to Hyderabad under the Nizam's patronage. His tomb in Hyderabad, near Khamosh Shah Dargah, remains in a neglected state. Please contact 96427-31329 for further details. Note: The above text has been sourced from the event's organisers.
