The Great Hyderabad Adventure Club is organising an early morning trek to the Gunrock on 31st July, at 6am. Participants will be assembling at Little Flower Degree College at Trimulgherry Junction.
Gunrock is a high-profile residential area extending a vast area of the Secunderabad Cantonment, covering Karkhana, Diamond Point and Trimulgherry. Despite being a residential area, most parts of the rocky terrains have been preserved for natural landscaping.
If you're up for participation, you must wear full track pants and T-shirts, sport or trekking shoes (preferably with knee support) and a sun cap, and carry a water bottle. You may get along some fruits, juices, energy bars or something to munch on during and after the trek. And those who're avid photographers can also carry a camera to take a few snaps.
The Hyderabad Adventure Club is a non-profit club that has been established with an aim to provide everyone opportunities to get outdoors and try new activities including travel, trekking, hiking, camping and adventure sports like rock climbing, rappelling, paragliding, skiing, white water rafting and scuba diving. The mission of the club is to get close to nature and enjoy it in an eco-friendly manner; to experience trekking, hiking and outdoor activities; and to learn tips, tricks, techniques & first aid for safe and comfortable outdoor adventuring.
Adults (18-60 years) may participate out of free will, Juniors II (13-17 years) will need the written consent of a parent or a guardian, and Juniors I (8 -12 years) must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
