My Theatre Cafe, in association with Udaan Performing Arts, is presenting a Hindi comedy play titled "To Be Or Not To Be" at Lamakaan, on Sunday, the 12th of February, at 7:30pm.
Directed by Suhas Barve, the play's original script, "Nirop", was written by Dr. Vasant Sabnis in Marathi, and was adapted in Hindi by Amruta Patwardhan.
The protagonist of To Be Or Not To Be is confused about how to end his life, because nothing has been going right in his life. He is unemployed, and has broken up with his girlfriend.
While he is in the process of committing suicide in his house, his best friend drops in. The friend doesn't stop him from attempting suicide, since he is aware of the protagonist's nature, thus leaving him in the lurch.
Thereafter, he is visited by different people, all of whom know his intentions - and no one stops him from committing suicide. Then, a stranger enters his life.
