REVIEW FOR THYAGARAJA MUSIC FESTIVAL BY...

On the occasion of the 163rd birth anniversary of saint Thyagaraja, as well as the 33rd anniversary of the Samithi, Vignana Samithi is organising its Annual Music Festival, from 5th to 11th January, at the Anand Nagar Community Hall, Khairatabad. The week-long festival will feature both senior and junior artistes performing everyday, as below:

5th January

There will also be mini-concerts by children and upcoming artistes, everyday from 2pm to 5pm.

Vignana Samithi, which is in its 33rd year of existence, tries to propagate classical music by organising music concerts every month. It provides a platform for upcoming artistes by giving opportunities, and at the same time, gets senior artistes to perform and conduct workshops. Many senior artistes have performed for the organisation, including Dr. Balamurali Krishna, the Malladi Brothers, the Hyderabad Brothers and Sankaranarayanan.
