Vaishali Bisht holds a BA (Hons.) in Drama and Theater Studies from the University of Kent at Canterbury, England (1996) and have been working as a theater person (script/direction/acting) in Hyderabad with adults and children. Vaishali Bisht has written, directed and produced numerous children's plays at various venues in the city and is amongst the very few to have staged plays in the prestigious Ranga Shankara in Bangalore. Plays that she has directed and written have received upbeat reviews and appreciation from audiences in Hyderabad and Bangalore. She has also been conducting theater workshops for more than thirteen years in Hyderabad for children between the ages of 6 to 12 years.
About The Workshop:
Using theater games and exercises, the workshop helps children use their imagination and explore their own creativity.By introducing theater to children, as a platform for expressing their specific concerns as a group, the workshop emphasizes the relevance of theater.
Inculcating concentration, confidence, creative thinking and team work as well as developing the children's interpersonal skills, the workshop equips them to deal with the unexpected twists and turns of Life, both onstage and offstage. Movement exercises , which help the children to utilize their bodies and gestures to express themselves, also improve physical reflexes and flexibility. Empowering them to take control and direct situations through role plays, improvisation games, which form a significant part of the workshop, encourage spontaneity and imbue the children with confidence in their own abilities to cope.
