REVIEW FOR THE SPEAKER'S CUP HORSE...

They made a movie about a horse 'cos there was a lot more to the making of the legend of Seabiscuit than some dumb neighing, sugar-chomping, or rearing upon its hindlegs. Discover the modern version of the Benhur-esque bloodlust of the ancient hippodromes of Rome, at the Hyderabad Race Club.

Bet on, and win the highest stakes ever. And if gambling or sheer high speed racing doesn't get you kicking, well, give your brain-cells a jog trying to figure out the numerous types of racing, ranking and rewarding.

Scheduled for this Sunday at the Hyderabad Racing Club are the following:

CATEGORY 1 RACES
The Speaker's Cup (About 1200m)
A Stakes race with 10 horses that have names that are good enough to win the cup. From 'Picture Me' to 'Master Prospect' and 'Bruno Magli', they all will however be racing for this cup with intricately thought out weights, penalties and allowances.

CATEGORY 2 RACES
The Youngsters' Plate (1100m)
This maiden race has twenty 2-year-old horses in competition.

The Mica Empress Cup (1600m)
A Stakes race with the competitors being the previous winners in the Category 1, Category 2 and Sweepstakes races.

The Moment Of Glory Plate (1400m)
A handicap for horses, 3 years and upwards, rated upto 75.

CATEGORY 3 RACES
The Race Club Cup (1200m)
A handicap for horses, 3 years and upwards, rated upto 50.

The Own Opinion Plate (1800m)
A handicap for horses, rated upto 25.

So giddy-up and meet the crowd at Malakpet's racing grounds, and grab the chance to make some quick and easy money, or at least lose it. Or just enjoy the sight of the beauties galloping by.
