The Bald Soprano: A High Loop is an adaptation of the absurd play The Bald Soprano, Romanian-French playwright Eugene Ionesco's first skit written. The play revolves around the Smiths who are a traditional couple from London who have invited another couple, the Martins, over for a visit. They are joined later by the Smiths' maid, Mary, and the local fire chief, who is also Mary's lover. The two families engage in meaningless banter, telling stories and relating nonsensical poems. The adaptation, which will be dramatized on January 5 at Lamakaan, is directed by Krishna Shukla and enacted by Abhinanda Banerjee, Anmona Chaliha, Avinash Agarwal, Captain Ahmed, Sishir Sv. Challa and Snigdha Bawa. Please contact 92961-53233 for further details.
