Novotel Hyderabad is putting together a Thai food festival from 4th to 19th April, at The Square. Chefs from Bangkok will be revealing their most closely-held food secrets, for dinner, on all the days of the festival. The wide array of popular Thai dishes will be accompanied by entertainment and decor depicting traditional Thai culture.
The a la carte menu has several exotic dishes, including the Tom Yam Goong (spicy prawn soup), Tom Kha Talay (mixed seafood with coconut milk soup), and Tom Sab Nue (spicy beef in clear soup) in the soups section.
The salads section consists of Yam Ruam Mitr Talay (poached mixed seafood salad with roasted sweet chilli paste and cilantro), Yam Sam Sahai (spicy chicken, shrimp and beef with vegetable), Yam Woonsen (spicy glass noodles with dried shrimps), Pla Goong (sauteed prawns tossed with chili, mint leaves and lemongrass), Larb Ped (minced duck tossed with chilli, mint leaves and lemongrass), and Yam Gai Ob (roasted chicken in spice dressing with assorted vegetable).
The main course features Phad Phak Nam Man Hoi (stir-fried mixed vegetables with oyster sauce), Gaeng Phed Nua (red curry with beef), Pla Prew Wan (stir fried fish with sweet and sour sauce), Phad Krapow Talay (wok-fried seafood with garlic, chili and sweet basil), Tod Man Pla (deep fried fish cake), Ped Phad Med Manuang (fried duck with cashew nuts), and Pho Pia Tod (vegetable spring roll with sweet chilli sauce).
For the sweet-tooth, the mouth-watering array of desserts includes Guay Chuem (sweet banana in syrup), Guay Buad Chee (warm bananas in coconut milk), Saku Piek Kao Phod (sago seed and corn with sweet shredded coconut), Sangkhaya Fak Thong (Thai custard steamed in pumpkin), and Pollamai Ruam (assorted tropical fruits).
