Call it a cultural extravaganza, and it might just be close to what you'll behold at this dance festival, starting tonite at the Thyagaraya Gana Sabha.
Exotic dance forms like Mohini Attam, Odissi, Manipuri, Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Kathakali, Kuchipudi and folk dances of Lambada, Dimsa, Dandiya, and the works - these are taking center stage with danseuses coming from all over the state and outside.
Day-2 of the Fest will see Kuchipudi recital by Saraswati Poornima, Ushakiran, Tarani, Pallavi and Nitya who are all disciples of Padmashri Shobha Naidu. Also performing are, Praharshita, Veda, Srihasanti and Praneeta, who are all of 8 years, and are ready to hog the limelight. Disciples of Ravali Rameshbabu will be showcasing folk dances of Lambada and Dimsa.
Chief guest Justice J Ishwara Prasad and 'Hasya Brahma' Shanakara Narayana will preside over the program.
