The Department of Information Technology of the Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) is organizing Tecstasy 2K11, a national-level technical symposium, on April 7th & 8th, at the college campus in Gandipet. It includes a plethora of both technical and cultural events. The event schedule is as follows:
Cognos
A national-level paper presentation. All selected papers will be awarded certificates, and there are cash prizes for those who win. The topics are Internet Security, Web Mining, Image Processing, Biometrics, and Virtual Reality.
Scintillate
A poster presentation contest - the topics are the same as those of the paper presentation contest.
Vitruvious
Participants are required to submit their project abstracts and output screen-shots. The most innovative projects will be selected for the next round.
Acuity
Includes a technical quiz and an onsite event to tests your skills in the quizzing arena.
D-Bug
An onsite coding and de-bugging contest to test your coding speed.
Technical Jockey
An event with 2 rounds. In the first round, the participants will be asked to write an essay on 'Better Use Of Technology'. In the second round, the participants chosen from the first round will be judged on their jockeying - i. e., speaking about the essay that they have written, in a vibrant manner.
Young Manager
An event about mock job placements. It has 3 rounds - aptitude test, group discussion, and personal interview.
Cricstasy
A mini cricket tournament with a '6 players x 6 overs' format. This game will be played in a mini-circle, and the schedule of this tournament is the same as that of the ICC World Cup (leagues, quarters, semi-finals, final).
Treasure Hunt
An event for those who love solving mysteries and puzzles. The aim of the event is to find the hidden treasure based on the given clues.
LAN Gaming
An online gaming contest - the games are Counter Strike 1.6 and Need For Speed.
